** SuperFX emulation isn’t running at full speed Game Boy/Color/Advance Name Most accurate but slowest SNES core (~40 FPS) Same as Snes9x 2005 but with better sound, at the cost of a few FPS ~55-60 FPS on standard games, ~50 FPS on Super FX games Least accurate but fastest NGP/C core, Use Mednafen (Beetle NeoPop) instead
Furthermore, on versions 3.60 and 3.65 it’s possible to use a bootloader patch called enso, which loads HENkaku automatically at boot: Ensō for 3.60, 3.65.
Those on firmware versions prior to 3.60 can update manually by following the instructions here. If you’re on the 3.60 firmware, you can obtain it here, for 3.65-3.73 use Final h-encore. If you have a PS Vita or PSTV on firmware version 3.60 to 3.73, you can turn it into a decent emulation device by installing the HENkaku homebrew enabler.

Despite having better graphics than the DS, I think I prefer the screens on the DS Lite for being clean, colorful, and not a smeary mess. The Nintendo’s 8 bit console was Sega’s biggest rival for its Master System which was a huge hit as well at the time. They were good at the time but the ghosting and interlacing are very unattractive.
But the PSP screen is abysmal across the 1000, 2000, and 3000 models. As a homebrew/emulator console I find it quite interesting but the original game library is even weaker than the PSP. The big reason why I'm thinking about passing on the PSP is the PS Vita. Assuming the Metal Gear Solid games are worth playing, I'm sure Wipeout is worth playing, and some of the better ports/remakes of Final Fantasy/Persona. The system is so cheap that I feel like it'd be worth it to play the few games it has. The original game library is somewhat light but there are a few games I want to check out. The games are also generally cheap, with the most expensive games going for not that much in comparison to other retro consoles. I found out they're dirt cheap near me, pushing $40- or 3000 models.
